'Fragile' consist of 300 slipcast porcelain PMN-2 landmines, placed at one meter intervals and aligned symmetrically in order to resemble and reference a military cemetery. ‘Fragile’ hopes to tackle landmine awareness and to challenge our appreciation of space and the freedom with which we can walk around this county without risking death or limb loss. It also plays with the juxtaposition of the breakable and delicate qualities of both human bone and ceramic.
